The Society invites and collates views from members, who work across the biological professions, in order to respond to open consultations. We seek to achieve a consensus of opinion and present a unified voice for the bioscience community.
The consultations we are currently in the process of formulating a response to are outlined below:
Dasgupta Review on the Economics of Biodiversity
The RSB will be responding to the Treasury’s call for evidence for an independent global review, led by Professor Sir Partha Dasgupta. The review aims to assess the economic value of biodiversity and identify actions that will simultaneously enhance biodiversity and deliver economic prosperity.
Closes 6 November 2019
New Ofsted framework consultation
The RSB will be responding to Ofsted’s consultation into their draft education inspection framework for 2019. Ofsted are seeking views to refine and improve their proposed approach. The draft education inspection framework sets out how Ofsted proposes to inspect schools, colleges, further education institutions and early year settings from September 2019.
