RSB’s response to Qualifications Wales’ postponement of the release of The Sciences GCSE

On Thursday 6 June, Qualifications Wales published its decision to delay the introduction of GCSE The Sciences into Phase 2 of the new qualification roll out. Both The Sciences GCSE (Double Award) and Integrated Science GCSE (Single Award) will now be available for first teaching from September 2026.

Higher education institutes receive Accreditation for their outstanding bioscience degree programmes

Over 50 bioscience programmes at more than 20 higher education institutions were formally awarded degree accreditation by the Royal Society of Biology at the 2024 Accreditation Awards Ceremony in Westminster. This year’s event was held on Thursday 25 April 2024 in the Terrace Pavilion, House of Commons.
