RSB members recognised in 2021 New Year’s honours list

The 2021 New Year’s Honours List recognises members and Fellows of the RSB for their biosciences and community work.
Professor Wendy Anne Bickmore FMedSci FRS FRSB, director of the MRC Human Genetics Unit at the University of Edinburgh received a CBE for services to biomedical sciences and to women in science.

Lynne Frances Bradley, senior plant health and seeds inspector at the Animal and Plant Health Agency received an OBE for services to plant health.
The New Year Honours list for 2021 recognises the achievements and service of extraordinary people across the United Kingdom. The list includes 1,239 recipients, with 14.8% of the list made up of public sector workers recognised for their response to COVID-19 pandemic. The Royal Society of Biology is grateful for the exceptional effort and expertise of the bioscience community in 2020.
