Members elected at Society AGM

The Royal Society of Biology has elected two new members to positions on Council at its Annual General Meeting.
Professor Nigel Brown OBE FRSB, former President of the Microbiology Society (right), was elected to the College of Individual Members and Professor Patrick Hussey FRSB, President of the Society for Experimental Biology, was elected to the College of Member Organisations.
Christopher Garland FRSB, professor of vascular pharmacology at Oxford University (second from right), gave the annual charter lecture: Blood pressure, plants and scorpions.
Members voted in favour of the two proposed resolutions:
- Approval of the financial accounts of the Society for the financial year October 2014 - September 2015.
- Authorisation for Council to appoint BDO LLP as the Society’s interim auditors until the end of the financial year (September 2016) and to tender and appoint auditors for the audit of financial year 2015-2016 and to set their remuneration.
