Sustainable Development
We take an interest in aspects of sustainable development where biologists, in the broadest sense, can make a contribution to the issues.
Our main activity in this area is through the Natural Capital Initiative. The Natural Capital Initiative and the Science Council held an evening event on 15 June 2009 on Sustainable Cities which explored the concept of ‘greening’ a city. Details of further NCI events can be found at the events page.
Here is a selection of our consultation responses on the subject of sustainable development.
